Hurricanes are getting common part of people in south east.
Then why is there a lack of preparation?
Why aren't there any guidelines and or rule books to follow in case of such an emergency. After 9/11, Iraq war and it's aftermath it was evident that a solid plan and communication is necessary to perform any organized work in any shape or form. Am I the only one frustrated with the lack of organization.

Do people need extreme results to learn everytime?

Nope, Even President Bush today said that up until this point and I'm probably misquoting him that the outcome hasn't been adequate.

Unfortunately people over the years have had a lot of close calls and so I guess they held out hope that this would again be one of those and where sorely mistaken.

Luckily, a lot of people did evacuate beforehand.

We should probably take a lesson from Cuba. They have one of the best hurricane disaster plans in the world....and they are a bunch of evil communists. We don't have hurricanes in England...just cold and wet Smile
